The market Meet the producers Calendar and

Colorno is a small town in the heart of Parma's "Food Valley", which boasts an array of fantastic food products. The Colorno Earth Market opened on December 12, 2010 and is held every third Sunday in a courtyard of the beautiful, recently renovated Colorno Ducal Palace. About 20 local producers coming from within 50 km sell products such as black pork sausage from organic pork Parma, Parmigiano Reggiano Red Cows Reggio's, goat cheese, organic wine, organic beer from raw materials produced car, bee products, organic herbs and medicinal herbs, saffron, vegetables and fruits old organic and integrated pest management, baked goods from stone ground flour and yeast, pickles from the park of the 100 lakes, processed pumpkin in the lower Parma, stoneware pottery and jewelry made from recycled paper and other recycled materials.

For Colorno, which belongs to the Association of Virtuous Muncipalities, the Earth Market is one of a wide range of initiatives and programs organized in recent years to promote awareness of reducing our ecological footprint, focusing on a short food supply chain, moderation and the impact of our daily consumption behaviors.

The Earth Market is organized by the Slow Food Parma Convivium together with the Colorno local authority and the Parma Regional Authority, in collaboration with the Italian Confederation of Farmers (CIA), the Provincial Union of Artisans (UPA) and the Colorno Tourist Office.
