The market Meet the producers Calendar and
activities

On a spring Sunday in 2010, the first Organic Farmers' Market in Mumbai was launched and proved to be a great success as fruits and vegetables were sold out in a matter of hours.

Since then, the market has moved to the lush Maharashtra Nature Park, an oasis in the bustling city of Mumbai, where consumers are connected with organic farmers across Maharashtra. Mumbaikers are now able to buy fresh, organic fruits and vegetables directly from farmers every Sunday.
The Farmers' Market also features new and exciting organic & earth-friendly trade, workshops for kids, live performances & a natural cafe.

The Farmers' Market connects Mumbai with organic farmers across Maharashtra (the state that the financial capital of India belongs to). At this market, Mumbaikers are able to buy fresh, organically certified, fruits and vegetables directly from farmers every Sunday. The Market also features new and exciting organic & earth-friendly initiatives, workshops for kids, live performances & a natural cafe.

The Farmers' market was approved as a Slow Food Earth Market in June 2012.

Behind this great idea stands the energetic Kavita Mukhi who has spent the last 20 years promoting healthy, natural and organic food as part of a way of living that respects both human beings and Mother Earth.
