The Il Campo in Piazza Earth Market in Turin was inaugurated on March 8, 2011, and will take place every second Sunday of the month, from 9 am until 7 pm in the square in front of Eataly Torino.
This is the third market in Italy to open in a metropolitan area, after Bologna and Milan, and the third in the region of Piedmont, following Alba and Calamandrana.
It has been organized in collaboration with Eataly, Campagna Amica Coldiretti Piemonte and Slow Food Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta.
Forty producers will participate in each edition of the market, almost all coming from the Piedmont region. Among the products offered will be fresh fruit and vegetables, wines, cheese, cured meats, chocolate, bread and baked products, honeys and jams.
Slow Food Presidia from the region will also participate in turn.
