A great pleasure

Just one year ago today, the Earth Market Greenville had two very special guests, Gigi Frassanito and Elisa DeMichelis, who came to check-out our market to see if it was Earth market worthy.
Today, I am so incredibly proud to work hand in hand with the most dedicated farmers in our region, who go so far beyond the call of duty.
The Greenville Earth Market faces many challenges, GMO production inundates our country, and even those farms who wish to remain non-gmo have a tough time fighting the winds that blow seed their way.
The market faces summer heat and most folks don't like to step outside of a comfortable air-conditioned car or office, along with thunderstorms, and summer vacations.
But the producers are still there, bringing the absolute best products your way.
If you haven't understood what an Earth Market is all about, just go to one, and talk to the producers there. I am sure you will agree it is quite something special!

It is definitely a greater pleasure having contributed, for a little part, to the creation of the first market in the US. The project is going in Italy (7 new markets in the last 12 months) and all over the world (new markets in Bulgaria and Turkey, with India and Portorico arriving).
I remember those happy (and so hot!) days in Greenville, and every market I get the chance to visit reminds me how lucky I am with this job.
A huge "thank you" goes to you and every person in charge for each Earth Market in the world for your incredible passion and committment.

È stato un piacere molto più grande aver contribuito, in piccolissima parte, alla nascita del primo Mercato della Terra americano. Il progetto da allora ha avuto un significativo sviluppo in Italia (7 nuovi mercati) e nel resto del mondo (nuovi mercati in Bulgaria e Turchia, con India e Portorico ormai prossimi).
Ricordo con emozione quei giorni felici e caldissimi a Greenville, e ogni volta che ho l'opportunità di visitare un nuovo mercato mi rendo conto della fortuna che ho nella mia professione.
Il mio grazie non potrebbe essere più sentito, e va a Janette e tutti i responsabili dei Mercati della Terra nel mondo.
